Showcasing newly launched advanced additive manufacturing solutions for players across the region.

Rieckermann recently welcomed close to 30 representatives from manufacturing, defense and drone technology, research institutions, and academia to the Rieckermann HP 3D Printing Open House. The event was designed to introduce the company’s latest additive manufacturing solutions offered in partnership with HP, while deepening industry understanding of the rapidly evolving 3D printing landscape and its real world applications.

The session opened with remarks from Tim Groth, Director of Rieckermann Malaysia and Singapore, who provided an overview of Rieckermann’s role as an industrial solutions provider and the long-standing collaboration with HP. He emphasized the company’s commitment to helping businesses adopt future ready production technologies, with additive manufacturing standing out as one of the key enablers of innovation.

Participants then gained deeper insights through a series of expert-led presentations:

  • Driving Additive Manufacturing Adoption by Daniel Thomsen (Head of 3D Print, Go-To-Market, APJ, HP) highlighted global trends, industry readiness, and the increasing viability of 3D printing for production-scale output.
  • Reimagining Production with HP Multi Jet Fusion Technology: the Rieckermann Perspective by Mun Chun Lim, (Senior Sales Manager, Rieckermann) explored how HP’s Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) platform accelerates design iteration, streamlines workflows, and achieves consistent production quality.
  • From Prototype to Production: Real World Use Cases by Quek Shao Xuen, (3DP Application Engineer, HP) showcased practical examples of how manufacturers of various industries are leveraging additive manufacturing for rapid prototyping, functional parts, customization, and small‑batch production.

Through these sessions, attendees were equipped with a clearer understanding of the technological, operational, and commercial benefits of HP’s additive manufacturing ecosystem.

In addition, a guided walkthrough of the Rieckermann-HP Showroom offered participants an up-close view of the HP MJF 5600, the latest generation industrial 3D printing system. The live demonstration provided a firsthand look at the machine’s workflow—from material preparation and printing to post processing—giving visitors a practical sense of its speed, repeatability, and production capabilities.

The event concluded with a networking lunch, where industry peers, educators, and technology experts exchanged perspectives on successful adoption strategies, evolving market needs, and opportunities for future collaboration.

Held on December 9, 2025, at the Rieckermann HP Showroom, the Rieckermann-HP 3D Printing Open House reaffirmed Rieckermann’s mission of supporting businesses in the transition toward advanced, efficient, and more flexible manufacturing technologies. As additive manufacturing continues to gain momentum across industries, Rieckermann remains committed to partnering with customers to unlock new possibilities in design, production, and innovation.
