The smartest kitchen in Asia opens in Manila
The SKIA test kitchen, publicized as the smartest kitchen in Asia, has officially opened its doors in Manila. This state-of-the-art facility, introduced by Rieckermann, is the first of its kind in the region and offers top-notch facilities suitable for both small and industrial-scale productions.
With the launch of the new kitchen, Rieckermann offers food manufacturers in the region a new and innovative way to enhance their product offerings. The kitchen was designed to assist food manufacturers in establishing equipment recommendation and process flows, sourcing quality ingredients, crafting recipes, executing product trials, and evaluating products, whilst also offering kitchen and staff support. Most importantly, Rieckermann’s customers are guaranteed confidentiality and professionalism throughout the process.
The grand opening of the new Rieckermann SKIA Test Center took place in May 2024 and allowed food manufacturers to explore the kitchen’s capabilities and meet partners, such as Seydelmann, Vemag Maschinenbau, Karl Schnell, VETEC Anlagenbau, Holac, Berief, and Reepack. The guests were also able to try tasty food samples produced in the SKIA test kitchen during the event.
Since the launch, several product tests and trial runs have been conducted at the test center. The facility can also be used to host seminars and help with upscaling, allowing manufacturers to test, taste, and develop product ideas for meat, convenience food, bakery, cheese, and many other items using the company’s various machines.
