Rieckermann hosts recycling-focused sustainable packaging seminar in Bangkok
Rieckermann once again engaged with members of the packaging industry through their recent Next-Gen Recycling & Product Design for Sustainable Packaging seminar, held jointly with strategic partners BoReTech, Macchi, and BDI-BioEnergy International (BDI).
During the event, Rieckermann showcased their commitment to advancing sustainable recycling technologies, advanced post-consumer packaging recycling, and innovative packaging design by emphasizing their holistic approach. They offered clients comprehensive end-to-end solutions designed to enhance brand value, support sustainability goals, and ensure long-term profitability. These services include in-depth process analysis, expert project consulting, financing support, and full-spectrum engineering and project management as well as technical services.
The seminar served as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, and regional collaboration. Experts at the event shared an in-depth overview of the local plastic landscape, highlighting recent advancements in sustainable packaging and the growing importance of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) in driving circular economy initiatives.
Moreover, presentations provided insights into the latest developments in rPET washing lines, rPP/rPET tray-to-tray systems, PO and film recycling, and chemical recycling technologies for plastics. These granted attendees with a first-hand look into how cutting-edge solutions are transforming the packaging industry—boosting sustainability, efficiency, and versatility across post-consumer, post-inhouse, and chemical recycling processes.
In addition, a spotlight on Southeast Asia’s recycling landscape provided context on the challenges and opportunities in the region, particularly on Thailand’s evolving role in sustainable plastic management. Further discussions explored how innovative packaging design can balance brand value and circularity, reduce material usage, and incorporate high PCR-content to meet both environmental and commercial goals.
