Sustainable waste management for a circular economy
Rieckermann was pleased to participate in the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) Beacon Conference 2022, which focused on exploring the challenges faced during the transition from a linear to a circular economy in sustainable waste management.
Rieckermann highlighted their in-house expertise and experience in environmental technologies, as well as the relevant, turn-key solutions they offer. These solutions cover the whole lifecycle of waste management projects, with services including consultation and the supply of state-of-the-art machinery and equipment fit for the requirements of businesses in the industry.
Representing Rieckermann was the company’s senior sales manager, Dr. Tengku Noor from the Environmental Technologies industry, who is also the Training Committee Chair of the Waste Management Association of Malaysia. As an expert in renewables and sustainable waste management, she talked about the applications of biogas as contributing to the circular economy – in line with the event’s theme. The presentation also introduced the participants to Rieckermann’s latest sustainable solutions in environmental technologies and waste management.
Held on September 26 and 27, 2022, the ISWA Beacon Conference took place at Aloft Hotel, Langkawi, Malaysia with over 160 participants from both the local sector and international companies. It was organized jointly by ISWA and the Waste Management Association of Malaysia. The International Solid Waste Association is an international network of waste professionals and experts from around the world whose mission is “to promote and develop sustainable and professional waste management worldwide and the transition to a circular economy”.
