RIECKERMANN SERVICES BOOST VIETNAM’S EFFORTS TO COMBAT COVID-19

Rieckermann contributes to Vietnam’s fight against covid-19

Rieckermann is contributing to the fight against COVID-19 in Vietnam by supporting the production of Molnupiravir, a low-cost antiviral medication.

The drug is being produced by Rieckermann’s long-term customer, one of Vietnam’s leading pharmaceutical companies, STELLAPHARM J.V. CO., LTD. – Branch 1, on the MG2 machine model G140. The G140 is a continuous-motion capsule filling machine for medium and high speed production that allows the dosing of pharmaceutical products such as powder and pellets.

Thanks to highly sophisticated technology from MG2 Italy, Rieckermann’s long-term manufacturing partner, the G140 ensures a high level of accuracy in all production phases with a maximum speed of up to 140,000 capsules per hour.

MG2 and Rieckermann are about to install the second G140 machine at Stellapharm, a repeat order and service job, following the first G140 purchase in 2019. This latest capsule filling machine is delivered to prepare for mass production at Stellapharm’s Binh Duong factory, following the authorization approval by the Drug Administration of Vietnam for the product Molnupiravir STELLA 400 mg .

Over the last years, the local Rieckermann team has represented not only MG2, but several other mainly European-based manufacturers to successfully install, commission, test, and qualify their technology in Vietnam. During these pandemic-hit times, with Vietnam having had its borders closed for nearly 2 years, Rieckermann was fully able to follow up on all technical service jobs with their broad pharmaceutical customer base in the country.
