CONTRACT WITH VNVC VACCINE AND BIOLOGICAL MANUFACTURING JOINT STOCK COMPANY
Rieckermann to design VNVC Manufacturing’s state-of-the-art vaccine manufacturing plant
Rieckermann is thrilled to announce the signing of a contract with the VNVC Vaccine And Biological Manufacturing Joint Stock Company to design their new vaccine and biological products manufacturing facility in Long An, Vietnam.
Chairman and General Director of VNVC, Mr. Ngo Chi Dung remarks: “Once completed, this will be the first vaccine factory in Vietnam to meet the LEED standard, contributing to the country’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. It marks a significant milestone in the sustainable development strategy for Vietnam’s vaccine industry, helping the country become self-sufficient in vaccine production, ensure public health security, and enhance the global competitiveness of its pharmaceutical sector.”
The facility spans a total area of over 26,000 m2 and comprises of four building clusters, designed to meet the highest GMP standards. Key features of the factory include:
- Laboratory Animal Facility: Built to GLP and AAALAC standards for pre-clinical and clinical testing.
- Modern Production Lines: Vials, syringe, and pen filling technology featuring isolator technology for sterile production.
- Green Building Standards: The factory will adhere to LEED standards, promoting energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. This is a strict international standard for a comprehensive green construction project, protecting the environment, saving energy, and moving toward achieving Net Zero according to the modern trend of the world.
The factory will not only produce vaccines but also serve as a hub for scientific research and clinical trials, attracting top experts from around the world. Additionally, the factory aims to achieve technology transfer for independent vaccine production, enhancing Vietnam’s capacity to produce high-quality vaccines domestically. The project not only demonstrates the remarkable progress in promoting Vietnamese biopharmaceutical infrastructure, but also represents a step forward in addressing global health challenges.
