Rieckermann’s inaugural Chemical & Energy exhibit highlights sustainable technologies and practices in plastics and rubber recycling
Rieckermann was proud to debut their first ever Chemical & Energy presence at this year’s Chinaplas show, with participations from prestigious industry partners such as BioEnergy International (BDI), Grupo BB&G (BB&G), and Kanzler Verfahrenstechnik (KVT). Located in Hall 10, the spacious setup was a comprehensive showcase of the latest technology lineup and innovations for the sector. They included:
- Chemical recycling for plastics with BDI’s SynCycle process: An innovative pyrolysis process, the SynCycle converts waste plastics into high-quality circular oil. It effectively reduces disposal costs – creating new revenue streams for mechanical recyclers – and lowers CO2 footprints for virgin polymer producers by integrating circular oil into polymer production. As partners, BDI and Rieckermann offer industrial-scale plants and customized waste pretreatment solutions to meet specific local needs.
- Tires to tires in a closed loop with tire pyrolysis oil (TPO) produced using BB&G’s pyrolysis process: Already in use by industry leaders in Europe, the BB&G pyrolysis process is known for producing extremely pure TPO. BB&G, Rieckermann and BDI are now exclusively offering this technology in China. Massimiliano Carlini, Managing Director for Rieckermann Industrial Technologies (Shanghai) and a key figure in the initiative, expressed his excitement for the development, commenting “We are incredibly proud to introduce this groundbreaking technology to our customers in China. The demand for sustainable solutions is growing rapidly, and we are excited to offer a process that has already proven its value in Europe.”
- Sustainable bioplasticizer technology with KVT’s phthalate-free solutions: As one of the players driving the growth of China’s bioplasticizer industry, KVT showed their latest non-toxic plasticizer production methods, aiming to fulfil the various, multi-segmented demands for innovative bioplasticizer technologies in the industry.
In addition to the technology presentations, Rieckermann’s Chemical & Energy team were joined in Shenzhen by specialists from China, Southeast Asia, and Hamburg. Together, they offered insights into integrating these technologies into existing processes, with a focus on local conditions and requirements. The active engagements provided visitors with in-depth consultations and collaborative discussions, enabling them to gain beneficial expert input for their ongoing and upcoming industrial endeavors.
Held from April 15 to 18, 2025 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, China, Chinaplas is Asia’s largest plastics and rubber trade show. Aside from their inaugural Chemical & Energy display at the show, Rieckermann was also present with their Packaging Material Solutions booth at the nearby German Pavillion, reflecting their dedication to delivering state-of-the-art technologies and industrial services for various sectors.
