Rieckermann showcases advanced tire chemical recycling solutions at the 12th Global Tire Tech Forum
Rieckermann recently participated at the 12th Global Tire Tech Forum, marking their second time appearance at the event. This time, the company was joined by strategic partner BB&G – a pioneer in advanced pyrolysis technology for end-of-life tires – with a collective focus on presenting cutting-edge solutions for greener and more economical industry operations.
A key highlight of their attendance was BB&G’s presentation titled “Closing the Loop – Advanced Pyrolysis of End-of-Life Tires for Circular Material Recovery,” which emphasized the importance of circular economy principles in the tire industry. Their innovative process converts End-of-Life tires into high-value, renewable products such as recovered carbon black (rCB) and tire pyrolysis oil (TPO), offering a sustainable alternative to traditional disposal methods. This, in turn, entails:
- Efficient recovery of valuable materials from waste tires, reducing landfilling, incineration, and carbon emissions.
- High-quality outputs such as rCB and TPO can be reintegrated into new tire manufacturing and other industrial applications.
- Support for circular economic goals, helping manufacturers meet sustainability targets and regulatory requirements.
In addition to the insightful presentations, exhibitors also showcased a range of advanced technologies designed to support the tire industry’s evolution. This included functional formulation materials and chemicals, aramid fibers, virtual tire design system, sustainable tire materials, intelligent tire sensors, wear-resistant rubber products, and a digital factory demonstration.
The forum served as a dynamic platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange, attracting a wide range of participants, including tire and rubber manufacturers, chemical and additive suppliers, and carbon black producers. The event also welcomed representatives from the China Rubber Industry Association and the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
The 12th Global Tire Tech Forum was held from June 17 to 20, 2025, at the Westin Yantai Hotel in Shandong, China. It brought together leading voices from across the tire and rubber industry to explore the future of green, low-carbon, and innovative development. Rieckermann’s collaboration with BB&G and their continued investment in green initiatives and technologies reflect the company’s strong commitment to supporting the tire industry’s transition toward a circular, low-carbon economy.
