Rieckermann is pleased to witness the grand opening of a new pharmaceutical facility that they had completed for Myanmar Pharmaceutical Industrial Enterprise (MPIE). This large volume parenteral solution (LVPS) production plant in Inyaung, Myanmar, produces 500ml infusion bottles using the latest blow-fill-seal technology in Myanmar. The total capacity of the facility is 10 million bottles per year.
Rieckermann provided the conceptual design, basic and detailed engineering to complete production lines for the facility in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme (PIC/S) guidelines.
Their scope also included the provision and installation of a water treatment system, solution manufacturing system, blow-fill-seal machines, process autoclave, and secondary packaging. They also provided full product preparation and handling equipment, part autoclave, full clean utility piping, process chiller and pneumatic air.
The facility is a state-owned Pharmaceutical factory under the supervision of Myanmar’s Ministry of Industry. The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on April 5, 2019 in the presence of VIPs Dr. Zaw Myint Maung (Chief Minister, Mandalay Division), Ko Ko Aung (Managing Director, MPI), Oliver Hoos (First Secretary and Head of the Economic and Commercial Section, German Embassy), ministers from Myanmar’s Ministry of Industry and Ministry of Health, as well as representatives from Rieckermann and their partners.
