Rieckermann is pleased to announce a further expansion of their machinery portfolio in the field of packaging printing with Koenig & Bauer Flexotecnica S.p.A. (KBA Flexotecnica), a subsidiary of the second-largest printing press manufacturer in the world, Koenig & Bauer. Following the successful collaboration with the manufacturer in Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines that was concluded at this year’s Chinaplas trade fair in Guangzhou, China, both parties have decided to further extend the scope of the partnership to Korea too. In addition to this, Rieckermann will also assume the exclusive sales responsibility for KBA Flexotecnica in the Vietnamese markets starting from November 1, 2019.
The partnership expansion was concluded at KBA Flexotecnica’s production facility located in Tavazzano near Milan, Italy. The partnership expansion was agreed at the Koenig & Bauer production facility in Tavazzano near Milan within the framework of presentation of the new Evo XC. This complements Rieckermann’s current portfolio by offering technology that covers essential areas of the plastic packaging process. The scope of the expansion includes the introduction of the recently developed Evo XC flexo printing line, in addition to the Evo XD and Evo XG lines.
“In order to further improve our proximity to customers in the Southeast Asian markets, we have decided to deepen our cooperation with the experienced industrial solution provider Rieckermann”, said Dr. Peter Lechner, Managing Director of KBA Flexotecnica. “That is an important milestone on the road to successful participation in the constantly growing market for flexible packaging in the future.”
“Besides the Evo XD and XG, our team was able to gain a first-hand impression of the new, very compact, and highly efficient 8-colour CI flexo press during our visit to the production facility,” said Kristian Rieck, Director of Plastic and Converting at Rieckermann. “I believe that there will be a high demand in Asia for the new Evo XC line, which I am certain will open up many opportunities for both partners.”
