Fostering synergy and collaboration for sustainability in Vietnam’s growing flexible packaging segment
Rieckermann recently concluded the second installment of their Solutions For Sustainable Growth Of Flexible Packaging seminar series in Vietnam, bringing together experts from the company, their esteemed industry partners, and a relevant governmental organization. With nearly 100 attendees, the event successfully highlighted holistic approaches to the sustainable growth of the flexible packaging industry, while also showcasing various technological solutions aimed at addressing the industry’s ongoing challenges.
Several key topics were explored, including sustainability through renovation, innovation, reuse, and recycling. This was done through insightful presentations from Rieckermann and the participating partners, addressing the latest trends and regulations in Vietnam’s flexible packaging market, as well as innovative solutions such as gravure printing and CI flexo printing technologies in packaging conversion.
Delegates from the Vietnam Packaging Association and the Ministry of National Resources and Environment were also present, offering an in-depth analysis of the country’s current local market landscape and governmental CO2 emission obligations. Their participation underscored the close synergy between industry players and the local administration in their combined effort to address ongoing challenges and opportunities in the segment.
Similar to the previous session held in Thailand, attendees in Vietnam had the opportunity to gain a closer look on various technology offerings from renowned industry players such as DEC, Kohli, D.W. Renzmann, SOMA, and Daetwyler. This hands-on experience was made possible through an exhibition at the event, allowing participants to explore innovative solutions with guidance from numerous industry experts.
Felix Niesmann, General Director of Rieckermann Vietnam, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, citing that the active participation from both the presenters and attendees signified a positive outlook for the industry: “By embracing innovative materials and technologies, we can create packaging solutions that are not only functional but also environmentally friendly. I am confident that our collective efforts can lead to impactful changes in the industry and pave the way for a more sustainable future.”
Taking place on November 14 at the Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City, the seminar was the second of a three-part series on Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Packaging, with the final stop set to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia on November 19. This initiative reinforces Rieckermann’s commitment to becoming a first-choice industrial solution provider by driving sustainable practices, fostering collaboration, and delivering innovative solutions for the packaging industry.
