The project required a fully integrated solution capable of processing up to 200 tons per day, combining multiple technologies across meat preparation, can filling, seaming, and retorting. This end-to-end scope created significant demands across engineering, coordination, and execution
The project scope was intensified by logistical demands involving globally sourced equipment, tight coordination with civil works and utilities, and evolving project requirements over a multi-year timeline. The project also overlapped with the Covid‑19 pandemic, requiring adaptability in planning, remote coordination, and strict on-site health and safety management.

To streamline execution and minimize interface risk, Purefoods partnered with Rieckermann as a single, accountable point of contact for the entire project. This approach enabled the successful delivery of a complete, turnkey meat processing and canning solution.
By centralizing coordination, Purefoods also benefited from a seamless integration of machinery across all process stages, despite the involvement of more than 20 global equipment suppliers. Engineering, logistics, documentation, and installation sequencing were effectively managed, allowing Purefoods to avoid interface risks and focus on operational readiness.
Furthermore, Purefoods gained significant advantages from Rieckermann’s strong local presence in the Philippines. This ensured efficient site management, fast resolution of technical queries, and close alignment with construction timelines and commissioning milestones. They were supported with expert technical consultancy, which strengthened decision-making, facilitated the smooth handling of change orders, and helped optimize system design.

High-Capacity Meat Processing & Canning Facility Commissioned and Fully Operational
Completed in 2022 after a 48‑month project timeline, the facility now operates as a modern, efficient, and high-capacity meat processing and canning line. Despite pandemic-related disruptions and complex logistics involving nearly 90 equipment containers, the project was delivered fully operational and to customer satisfaction.
The upgraded plant enhances food safety, production consistency, and operational efficiency—enabling Purefoods to meet rising market demand with confidence while strengthening its competitive position in the region.
